How micro-LEAN handles your data

Last updated 6 October 2026. This page describes what the app actually does. It is not legal advice.

Where your work is stored

Not signed inYour processes are saved only in this browser’s local storage, on this device. Nothing is sent to our server unless you create a share link or send feedback.
Signed inYour processes are also saved to our server as one workspace tied to your email address, so you can open them on other devices. Each account’s work is kept separate in the browser, and signing out lets you remove it from the device.
Share linksOnly when you choose Create link, a snapshot of that one process is stored on our server. Anyone with the link can open a copy until it expires: 7 days for links made while signed out, up to 90 days when signed in. Signed-in owners can turn a link off at any time. Expired links are deleted automatically; turned-off links are deleted 7 days later. Links created before 6 October 2026 expire 30 days after they were created. To have one removed sooner, send a Feedback note with the link.
FeedbackIf you send feedback, we store your message, the stage you were on, an optional rating, your optional answer to “How did you find micro-LEAN?” and, if you are signed in, your email address. Please do not include client data in feedback.
How you found usIf you arrive through a link with a ?ref= tag (for example ?ref=linkedin), your browser keeps that short tag. The first time you start a process, the browser sends us one “started” signal with that tag (or no tag), the date and nothing else: no process data, no email address and no cookie, so we can count how many people each channel brings. If you sign in, the tag is also saved with your account; if you send feedback, with that note. Only tags from our own fixed list are kept. Nothing is shared with anyone else.
