Current process (As-Is): how the work runs today. Follow the seven-step builder; the map grows as you add each piece. Click process details, flow steps, lanes, steps, decisions, hand-offs or pain points on the map to edit them. Outline shows the same steps as a table, and edits apply to both. SIPOC lists suppliers, inputs, process, outputs and customers from the same data.

Diagnose
Create the problem statement, explain why each pain point occurs, identify opportunities, and assess effort, resources, and cost.
Design
Start from a rule-based draft that proposes changes from the interventions you chose in Diagnose, or a plain copy of the As-Is map. Switch any time; edits to each version are kept. Click any step, decision or hand-off on the map to edit it.

A deck for the people who decide: the summary, the As-Is and To-Be maps, causes, interventions and modeled value, with an appendix that keeps every long text in full. Click a slide to read it at full size, print the whole deck as a PDF, or save one slide as an image.
Validate value
A planning model, not measured results. Hands-on time is the sum of each activity's average processing time in people lanes (Role / Person), weighted by the share of runs that take each path; review time left on automated steps still counts. A missing time is unknown, not zero, so headline figures appear only when both maps are fully timed. Yearly figures use your runs-per-year, or a stated default from the frequency (Daily = 250 working days). 1 FTE = 2,000 hours. Cycle times are compared only when both are single values on the same basis (working vs calendar time).
Share & build
Turns the Design map into a build package: workflow.json (the source of truth), a readable brief, tool contracts, controls, test cases and adapters for the tools your organization uses. It is a plan for a builder, not a working automation.
What is micro-LEAN for Agentic AI?
micro-LEAN is a free, guided LEAN process-improvement studio built for the age of AI agents. It walks you through the classic continuous-improvement arc — map the current state, find root causes, design the future state — and then packages your future-state design as a structured brief that an automation agent or builder can start from. The brief lists what is still missing; it is not a guarantee that any agent will build a working workflow.
How it works
Improve a process that exists
- Discover: map how the process runs today in swimlanes. Each step records its automation building blocks: trigger, inputs, outputs, systems, access, controls, exceptions, timing and owner.
- Diagnose: rate each pain point by severity and how often it happens, test causes against evidence, and compare intervention options.
- Design: a rule-based draft turns your chosen interventions into proposals you accept or reject. Steps marked human-only are never automated or removed.
- Validate value: model hands-on time and workload from your estimates, with coverage and assumptions shown. Nothing is presented as a measured saving.
- Share and build: print the stakeholder deck as a PDF, and export a build package for the automation tool your organization uses.
Design a process that doesn’t exist yet
- Discover: capture the outcome, demand, actors and constraints of the new process.
- Define: record requirements, assumptions, risks, access and exceptions, and the controls a person must keep.
- Design: micro-LEAN drafts a map from your requirements; you edit it and mark it reviewed. Steps marked human-only are never automated or removed.
- Validate value: model the workload and running cost from your estimates, with coverage and assumptions shown.
- Share and build: print the stakeholder deck as a PDF, and export a build package for the automation tool your organization uses.
